Lewis Eady Music School is one of New Zealand's largest independent music educators, teaching instrumental music to students of all ages and levels of progress at over 25 partner schools and at our Music School studios on 75 Great South Road, Epsom. We teach all genres of music – classical, pop, rock, jazz. Tuition is tailored to each individual because we believe that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to learning.

Our current team of tutors are motivated and friendly, musically qualified, and love sharing their musical knowledge with others – they're musicians teaching music!

We are accepting expressions of interest from musicians (particularly piano/keyboard and guitar tutors) who wish to teach at the Lewis Eady Music School.

Whether you are a recent music graduate seeking valuable industry experience or a seasoned music tutor, we would love to hear from you!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You would ideally have Grade 8 in your instrument (ABRSM, Trinity, or NZMEB) or studying towards a music degree (performance, pedagogy or history).
    Guitarists and Drummers only: At least ten years' playing experience or two years' teaching experience.

  • You are a great communicator with a genuine passion for music education.

  • You must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand (e.g. Work Visa, Permanent Residence).

  • You recognise that each student has different aspirations for their musical journey.

  • You love sharing your musical knowledge with others – young and old!
