WELCOME TO TERM 3

A warm welcome to all our new and returning students. We hope you have had a lovely break and are looking forward to a new term of learning and musical growth.

As we settle into this particularly frosty season, we’re looking forward to the end-of-year performances - a great way for students to have fun on stage and celebrate their progress.

In Term 3, music students from Epsom, Maungawhau, Newton, Orakei, Royal Oak Intermediate, St Michaels, and Westmere will hold concerts at their schools.

In Term 4, students from Bayfield, Freemans Bay, Glendowie, Hillsborough, Marist Catholic, Onehunga, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Pasadena, Pt Chevalier, Remuera Primary, Royal Oak Primary, and Takapuna will have their concerts at their schools.

Your school will send an email closer to the time with details about the concert.

 

Congrats to Our Great South Road Performers!

A special mention and congratulations to all the Great South Road students who performed at their concert on Sunday 22nd June!

We loved hearing you play and were impressed and inspired by your enthusiasm on stage and the pieces performed.  We hope you enjoyed the experience and can’t wait to see you (and many other new students) perform at the next concert in Term 4.

 

Tutor Spotlight

Lewis Eady Music School tutors are motivated, committed, musically qualified and love sharing their knowledge - they are musicians teaching music!

This term we caught up with Liam Coughlan

Liam Coughlan is one of our friendly, multi-instrumental tutors. Liam teaches bass, guitar, ukulele, and keyboard at our partner schools and at our Great South Road venue. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz from the University of Auckland, performs regularly, and writes and releases his own music.

If your enrolment form has been successfully submitted, you’ll receive an automatic confirmation email shortly. If you don’t receive this, please get in touch with our administration team at musicschool@lewiseady.co.nz.

REMINDER: LESSON BOOKINGS

Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully to ensure your music lessons can start and continue without any disruptions.

Once a lesson time slot is reserved for you, it becomes unavailable to other customers. Therefore, please make sure your lesson day and time will work with you before your time slot is reserved for you.

  • Your booking for music lessons is yours until you let us know in writing that you no longer require lessons. All enrolled students will be invited to re-enrol at the end of each calendar year. Notification of cancellation must be emailed to musicschool@lewiseady.co.nz, not via tutors or other Lewis Eady or Chiron staff members.

  • We require four weeks’ notice if you intend to withdraw from lessons. If insufficient notice is given, you will be charged the four week cancellation period.

  • Term 1: Tuesday 3 February – Saturday 12 April

    • (No lessons – Easter Holidays: Friday 18 April – Tuesday 21 April)

  • Term 2: Monday 28 April – Saturday 28th June

    • (No lessons – King’s Birthday weekend: Monday 2 June – Monday 7 June or

    • Matariki Friday 20th June)

  • Term 3: Monday 14 July – Saturday 20 September

  • Term 4: Monday 6 October – Saturday 13 December  

    • (No lessons – Labour Day weekend: Monday 27 October)
