Please read our Terms & Conditions carefully.
FEES
Fees are charged on a per term basis and must be paid within seven days of the invoice.
Fees can be paid by internet banking, credit card, EFTPOS, or cash at our retail store:

When making payment, please include:
Your invoice number (found on your emailed invoice)
The full name of the student
Once an invoice has been generated:
You remain liable to pay the invoice in full
Payments cannot be made in instalments or by multiple parties
If you wish to cancel lessons after receiving your invoice, the four weeks’ notice of cancellation and associated costs apply until written notice (via email) is received
Family or multiple lesson discount:
A 5% discount applies when more than one family member is enrolled, or a student has more than one lesson per week
If eligible, the discount will be reflected on your invoice
Late payment will result in the discount being discontinued
If a second student or additional lesson is added partway through a term:
The 5% discount applies to the new student/lesson only for that term
The discount will apply to all eligible lessons from the start of the next term
Overdue accounts:
Subject to a compulsory $50 late payment fee
May be referred to a third-party credit control agency
Lessons may be suspended or cancelled
Costs of recovery of any overdue amount may be charged to you
Lessons missed due to late payment are not refundable
CONFIRMING LESSON DAYS & TIMES
Once a lesson time is reserved, it becomes unavailable to other customers. Please ensure your selected day and time suits your schedule before confirming
A four weeks’ notice period applies to all lesson cancellations
WITHDRAWAL FROM LESSONS
Your lesson booking remains active until you notify us in writing that you wish to stop
We require four weeks’ written notice to withdraw from lessons
If insufficient notice is given, the four-week cancellation period will be charged
Cancellation must be sent to: musicschool@lewiseady.co.nz
Please do not notify tutors or other staff members
If we need to change your lesson day or time due to unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you with details and available options
MUSIC BOOKS
Music books are not included in term fees
Once a tutor selects suitable books:
Our admin or retail team will contact you with details and ordering options
Books can be:
Ordered via email, or purchased directly from our retail store
Due to copyright law, we are unable to photocopy printed material
GENERAL
Payment
Please do not give payment for term fees directly to tutors
Tutors are not permitted to receive payments
Tutors
We cannot guarantee the same tutor each term/year to the tutor of their choice
We reserve the right to provide a relieving tutor where necessary
Missed Lessons, Absences & Credits (75 Great South Road)
If a tutor is unable to teach due to illness:
A relieving tutor will be provided where possible
If not, the lesson will be cancelled and a credit applied
If a student is unable to attend for any reason:
The lesson is not credited
The number of lessons on the invoice cannot be adjusted
You may nominate another person (e.g. friend or family member) to attend instead
The nominated person’s name must be provided at least 24 hours in advance
Missed Lessons & Absences (Partner Schools)
If a tutor is unable to teach (e.g. illness):
A relieving tutor will be provided where possible
If not, the lesson will be cancelled and a credit applied
Credits:
Are only applied to accounts with full payment of term fees
Must be requested after the missed lesson has occurred by emailing musicschool@lewiseady.co.nz
Must include:
Student name
Date and name of the school activity
Must be requested within two weeks of the missed lesson
Cannot be processed in later terms
Credits are only available for school-related activities or events (e.g. camp, sports, Teacher Only days)
No credits or replacement lessons are provided for:
Illness
Family holidays
Other non-school-related absences
Attendance at Partner Schools
Students are responsible for making their own way to their lesson
If a student does not arrive:
The tutor may attempt to contact them through the communication systems in place at the school
If the lesson is a group lesson and other students have already arrived, the tutor cannot leave the group unattended to locate the absent student.
For students attending lessons at partner schools, we expect behaviour that allows lessons to run safely and respectfully. Disruptive behaviour will be addressed by the tutor, and if it continues, the student may be sent back to class.
Teacher Only Days
If your lesson falls on a Teacher Only Day, it will proceed online via Teams
Communications
From time to time, we may send information about promotions at our retail store or sister schools via email or text
To opt out, simply reply “STOP”
HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES
Holiday programmes are subject to sufficient enrolments
Places are allocated in the order they are received
Enrolment is confirmed once payment has been received
ONLINE LESSONS (TEAMS)
Teams lessons are only available between the tutor and the enrolled student
Lessons are covered by your usual term or lesson fee
Missed Teams lessons are not credited if the admin team has not been notified in advance of the student’s absence.
For the best lesson experience:
Be in a quiet space with minimal disruption
Ensure supervision by a parent or caregiver
This helps manage issues such as WIFI or camera setup
Tutors will call students at their scheduled lesson time unless otherwise advised
