ONLINE SKYPE MUSIC LESSONS
Online lessons allows us to continue teaching music from the safety of our respective bubbles. Online music lessons via Skype is only available for already enrolled students who cannot attend their lessons in person (e.g. cold/flu symptoms, isolating at home due to COVID-19 or Household Contact).

We require at least 4 hours’ notice to arrange Skype lessons.

ONLINE SKYPE LESSON REGISTRATION PROCESS

Step 1. DOWNLOAD Skype onto your device and create a free account.

Step 2. REGISTER your Skype information using the online form above (“REGISTER FOR SKYPE LESSONS”).

Step 3. Once your details have been processed, your Skype ID and other relevant details will be passed to your tutor. Prior to your next Skype lesson, your tutor will connect with you with an invitation to connect via Skype message. Please check your Skype account and accept the invitation. Any issues? ALREADY REGISTERED FOR SKYPE LESSONS?

If you have already submitted your Skype Registration Form and have emailed musicschool@lewiseady.co.nz to confirm your next Skype lesson date/time, your tutor will connect with you with an invitation to connect via Skype message. Please check your Skype account and accept the invitation.

Your tutor will initiate the call at your usual lesson day/time.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • The Skype lesson is only available to be utilised between the music tutor and the intended student per the contracted lesson arrangement with Lewis Eady Music School.

  • Your Skype lesson is covered by your usual term or lesson fee. We cannot provide credits for missed or unattended Skype lessons and this will be effective from the next COVID-related lockdown or Term 2, 2021 (i.e. 3/5/2021), whichever is sooner.

  • Your Skype information must be received by the Music School admin office at least 24 hours prior to your lesson or you will need to wait until the following week for the Skype lesson.

  • All views expressed in Skype lessons are strictly of that tutor’s personal opinions.

  • To ensure optimum lesson experience, please make sure you are in a quiet space with minimal disruptions. Supervision from a parent or adult caregiver throughout the lesson is essential, in case of unexpected issues (i.e. WiFi connection, incorrect camera angle).

  • We are not able to provide refunds for discontinued or disrupted lessons due to connection issues from the students’ end.

  • Tutors will call students via Skype at their designated lesson time, unless otherwise specified.

  • All students agree not to record (audio and/or visual) these Skype lessons in any way.

  • All students under the age of 13 must operate Skype strictly under the supervision of their parents or caregivers. Skype has a number of security measures in place to help protect children, who have appropriate parental permissions to use Skype, from being contacted by strangers online - read the full list here.   • Please note that our usual terms and conditions apply during this period - including four weeks’ notice of cancellation.
