A warm welcome to all our new and returning students! I hope you all enjoyed the summer break and are looking forward to an invigorating term* of music-making with Lewis Eady Music School.

"Music enhances the education of our children by helping them to make connections and broadening the depth with which they think and feel. If we are to hope for a society of culturally literate people, music must be a vital part of our children's education."

— Yo-Yo Ma, internationally renowned cellist, teacher, and humanitarian.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I submitted my online enrolment form. What do I do now?
As soon as you have submitted your online enrolment form, you should receive a confirmation email. Our team will contact you once there is a suitable time slot to schedule your lesson. Please be patient!

  • I haven't received my Term 1 invoice yet.
All Term 1 invoices were emailed on 19 January to the email address you have confirmed in your enrolment form. Please also check your spam/junk mail folder!

  • I've been put on a 'waitlist' – what does this mean?
This could be because there is not enough demand for that instrument to start lessons or not enough space at the school to accommodate more music lessons. Our team will contact you as soon as circumstances change.

  • Do you teach after-school?
Yes, we teach after-school (3:30pm–7:30pm) on weekdays and Saturdays (9am–4pm) at our Music School studios on 75 Great South Road, Epsom.

  • What happens if my child misses a lesson?
We can provide a credit* to your account if your child misses a lesson due to a school activity (e.g. sports day, camp). Please email musicschool@lewiseady.co.nz with the name and date of the school activity – do not leave a message with your tutor/s!

*We cannot provide credits for absences that are not related to school activities (e.g. illness, a family holiday during term time) and credits can only be applied to an account where the term fees have already been paid in full.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The safety of our students and tutors are our utmost priority.  We encourage all students to wear their face mask whenever possible, practice safe physical distancing, wash and sanitise hands often, and handle their own gear at lessons (e.g. music books, chairs, music stands).

Students displaying symptoms of cold, flu, or COVID-19 should not be coming to in-person lessons. For Great South Road students only, we can accommodate Skype lessons at your normal lesson day and time, as long as you let us know by 2:00pm that day. Please email musicschool@lewiseady.co.nz.
