Jamie McDell is no stranger to the stage or recording studio. Signed to EMI when she was only 16 and releasing her first single not long after, Jamie has amassed a legion of loyal fans and influenced countless young songwriters in the process. Her debut album Six Strings and a Sailboat won her Best Pop Album at the 2013 New Zealand Music Awards and went on to achieve Gold Album status in NZ. Her second album Ask Me Anything saw Jamie grow as a songwriter, with one of the songs Moon Shines Red being featured on US TV show Pretty Little Liars. Her latest offering Extraordinary Girl (released in May 2018) was recorded in Music City itself, Nashville and was cut in two days, just like they used to do in the old days. Jamie enlisted country legend, Nash Chambers, to produce and surrounded herself with some of Nashville’s top session musicians to create a deeply personal album of country-pop gems. This limited capacity concert will see Jamie showcase her new album songs in the seated comfort of our piano showroom while offering the audience an insight into some of the stories behind the songs. This is an immaculate reproduction of a vintage guitar from a bygone era featuring some premium materials and embellishments saved only for Martin’s superior guitars. Made of solid genuine Mahogany and featuring Martin’s Vintage Tone System (VTS) of torrefaction on the top and braces (authentic scalloped X style), hide glue construction and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
