It has been a pleasure to be a part of your musical journey this year. A highlight of this term (and this year!) for me has been the end-of-year concerts at our partner schools – a valuable opportunity which was sadly cancelled for the past two years due to COVID restrictions. Term 4 always comes around too soon. I hope you all enjoyed the term break and are ready for the final term of 2022.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for doing your part to protect each other as we navigated life in COVID. Face masks have played a crucial role in keeping our communities safe – and we have seen some great colours and designs over the last few years! But nothing can beat face-to-face, mask-less interaction, and we can only do that when we are all well.
Welcome to Term 3. I hope you all had a restful break and enjoying all that Term 3 has to offer.
Over the break, we held our July Songwriting Workshop with tutors Adam Thorndyke and Kane Chong. Seven budding songwriters came together for two days of intensive and collaborative work, culminating in a performance for friends and family in the Lewis Eady Guitar Showroom. After so many years of cancellations and postponements, we were thrilled to revive our Holiday Programme offering and look forward to many more Songwriting Workshops in the future.
We hope you had a wonderful break and are looking forward to another jam-packed term.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigated Term 4 together. Being able to make music with your family every week has certainly helped lift spirits during a challenging year for many. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our phenomenal admin team (Cheryl, Gillian, Leah) and tutors for going above and beyond their call of duty – truly a tremendous team effort.
Thank you for your unwavering support of our music programmes over these challenging past few months. Whilst we were incredibly grateful to be able to connect with your whānau through online lessons, it simply cannot compare to the connection and engagement that in-person lessons provide.

2020 has been an eventful year for us all. Thank you for your continued support of Lewis Eady Music School despite all the curveballs thrown our way.
With that, I have some big news to share with the Music School family…
Alert Levels have certainly kept us all (teachers, admin, parents and students!) on our toes this year. Thank you for staying with us as we moved our music lessons online during both Lockdown periods and for embracing your online lessons when we were unable to see you in person. Whilst we are grateful that technology allows us to continue teaching when face-to-face lessons aren’t possible, we really do love seeing you on the other side of Lockdown - in person again!
Live Online Music Lessons at Lewis Eady Music School are enabling students to continue making music from the safety of their bubbles as well as providing much-needed income for local musicians during this unprecedented time.
Welcome to our new and returning students. We are loving making music happen all across Auckland with a record number of students enrolled with us this term.
Kicking off 2020 lessons has been very rewarding particularly as our teaching team is now highlighted by a group of teachers who started their musical journey with us as students and who are now sharing what they learned with us, and their love of music, as Lewis Eady teachers!
